Santa arrives in The Beacon

Santa is visiting The Beacon every weekend until Christmas when he will be meeting children in a magical Nordic Trail. Youngsters can take part in the trail, and see Santa, free of charge from 11am until 4pm every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas. During the first weekend, more than 450 children were welcomed to the trail by a Nordic helper who gave them a snow cape to wear to keep them snug on their winter journey. First stop on the trail was making their own Nordic wooden Christmas tree to take home and keep. Then, they found a small gift that was left for them by Nordic elf Tomte in Christmas slippers in front of a cosy fireplace before they were invited to visit Santa in his own little Nordic nook. Snowy Christmas trees, lanterns and woodland creatures are all part of the Nordic Trail next to River Island. The Beacon Manager Bill Plumridge said: “Santa arrived in the Centre at the weekend and there was great excitement from everyone. Christmas is a magical time for children and our Nordic Trail really captures what this special time is all about.” Don’t miss the Nordic Trail in The Beacon on December 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23
