Leading phone and tablet accessory store Baseus is the latest signing to be announced for The Beacon.
The brand, which has more than 600 stores across 180 countries, sells a range of accessories from fashion flip cases to Apple watch straps, phone chargers and mounts.
The new store will be in the unit next to Starbucks by the West entrance with shopfitting due to start shortly. An opening date is expected to be announced soon.
Bill Plumridge, manager of The Beacon, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to announce that Baseus is to open in The Beacon. It’s a premium brand with a reputation for innovation so it will be a great new name for the Centre and Eastbourne.”
Matt Davies, from Baseus, said: “This is a really exciting time for Eastbourne and we are delighted to be part of the town’s extraordinary transition. We are looking forward to bringing our extensive range of technological accessories to the local people and to provide a shopping experience like no other. “
The Beacon has seen the construction of an £85 million extension funded by Legal & General that is due to be completed this summer.
Baseus joins a list of impressive names that have recently opened in Centre with a state-of-the-art eight screen Cineworld due to open on July 12.
New stores that have opened are: H & M, Next, FatFace, Paperchase, Jack Wills, Schuh, JoJo Maman Bébé, Flying Tiger, New Look and Nando’s.
